With 18 years experience in customer service and 15 years behind the chair Amelia has fine tuned her craft in the beauty industry. An eye for design and an attention to detail are her hallmarks. Achieving the perfect cut or color for each individual, affirming their unique identity, is what Amelia loves about her trade. Clients also appreciate her patience, calm demeanor and enthusiasm as well as her aptitude for tackling a challenge.
Amelia graduated from an Aveda Institute in Seattle where she learned foundational techniques and a love of precision. Following school she pursued advanced training in a high volume salon. Seeking a more versatile repertoire and a more diverse environment she left for Rudy's Barbershop where she honed her skills in a wide array of services and forged relationships with clients and colleagues which continue to thrive to this day. She moved on to be a part of a small team at a queer and woman owned Capitol Hill salon and remained there for a number of years before becoming self employed in 2016 and never looking back!
Amelia now resides in Chimacum with her wife Kate and their collection of indoor and outdoor plants. Amelia is delighted to offer her clients, new and old, the opportunity to visit her new salon, The Cutting Room, located in her barn.
Located about 46 miles north west of Seattle on the Olympic Peninsula, Chimacum is an historic farming community close to Port Townsend.
